Honouring Excellence in Our Community
At the AGM on Wednesday, we had the pleasure of presenting Maise Wilkinson with the Dokelman Cup. This award recognises the excellent job she has done in running social tennis for our intermediates on Sunday mornings. Maise has been a dedicated leader, and her efforts have not gone unnoticed. She has been ably supported by her husband, Dave, who has also contributed significantly to the success of the programme.
A Multifaceted Contributor
Maise's contributions extend beyond just social tennis. She was also a key member of the hard-working panel on the Centenary party committee. This committee played a vital role in organising a memorable celebration for our club's milestone. Maise's commitment to our community is commendable, and her leadership has inspired many.
In addition to her committee work, Maise has taken on the responsibility of captaining our ladies' 4th team. This role requires not only skill but also dedication and teamwork. Maise has excelled in this position, fostering a positive environment for her team and encouraging them to perform at their best.
The Importance of Community Engagement
Community engagement is crucial for the growth and success of any club. Maise's efforts in promoting social tennis have brought many members together, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all. Her ability to connect with players of varying skill levels has made a significant impact on our club's culture.
Social tennis is more than just a game; it is an opportunity for members to bond, share experiences, and enjoy each other's company. Maise has successfully cultivated this environment, making Sunday mornings a highlight of the week for many.
Looking Ahead
As we move forward, it is essential to continue supporting individuals like Maise who are dedicated to our club's success. Her passion for tennis and commitment to our community set a standard for all members. We encourage everyone to get involved, whether through volunteering, participating in events, or simply showing support for one another.
In conclusion, well done, Maise, for stepping up and supporting the club. Your hard work and dedication are truly appreciated. We look forward to seeing how your contributions will continue to shape our community in the future.
